Long days outdoors, beach afternoons and plenty of sunshine: summer is a favourite season for many of us. For sensitive skin, though, it can also mean more redness, tightness and discomfort. Sun, heat and changes in temperature can all disrupt the skin’s natural balance. The good news is that a simple summer skincare routine can keep your skin calm, comfortable and protected all season long.

Why sensitive skin needs extra care in summer

Sensitive and redness prone skin reacts quickly to its environment. UV exposure is one of the main factors that can bring redness back and upset the skin microbiome, the protective layer of micro organisms that lives on the surface of your skin. When this balance is disrupted, the skin feels less comfortable and looks more reactive. That is why a good summer routine for sensitive skin rests on three steps: soothe, correct and protect.

Step 1: soothe and hydrate

Start your morning with the Soothing Cashmere Cream. This rich, soothing face cream has a luxurious, melting oil in cream texture that hydrates and nourishes while calming discomfort and reducing the look of redness. Its formula combines prebiotics and probiotics to help rebalance the skin flora, Boswellia extract to help limit water loss, and Wild Jasmine extract to help the skin protect itself from external aggressors. It is ideal for normal to dry skin. Apply it to a cleansed face and neck after your serum, avoiding the eye area.

Step 2: correct and protect with SPF50

Then comes the Anti-Redness CC Cream SPF50, your multi action summer essential. This tinted CC cream does three things at once: it conceals visible redness, its soothing action helps reduce it, and its SPF50 protects your skin from the sun exposure that could bring it back. Encapsulated pigments are released on contact with the skin and adapt to all skin tones for a natural, tone on tone finish. Centella asiatica extract supports skin repair, and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid hydrates and eases tightness. Apply it with light strokes in the morning, either on its own or after your day cream.

Your summer routine at a glance

In the morning, cleanse your skin gently and apply your serum. Follow with the Soothing Cashmere Cream on your face and neck, then finish with the Anti-Redness CC Cream SPF50. In the evening, cleanse your skin to remove the CC cream and the day’s sunscreen, apply your serum and finish with the Soothing Cashmere Cream to comfort your skin overnight.

Our summer application tips

Reapply your SPF. Even the best sunscreen only protects you while it is on your skin. Reapply regularly throughout the day, especially after swimming, sweating or towelling off.

Use a generous amount. For SPF50 protection to work as it should, apply enough product to cover your whole face evenly. Do not forget your neck and ears.

Adjust to the heat. On very hot and humid days, a thin layer of the Soothing Cashmere Cream is enough before your CC cream. On drier days or after a day in the sun, you can be more generous.

Keep it simple. Sensitive skin loves a short routine. Fewer steps mean less risk of irritation, and a tinted SPF50 lets you skip foundation altogether.

Think beyond skincare. Combine your daily sunscreen with a hat, sunglasses and shade during the hottest hours of the day for complete summer protection.
