What we love about Maud is her gentleness, which shines through in each of her photos. This young mother, press officer, and clutch bag designer shares a little piece of her world with us.
Who are you Maud?
My name is Maud, I'm 32 years old, Parisian, and recently became the mother of little Achille. I work in communications for the sports brand Asics .
What is your relationship with beauty and cosmetics?
I don't consume many products but I make sure they are of good quality . I like to have basics that are easy to use and take with me in my gym bag or on vacation .
I don't wear much makeup and I had skin problems when I stopped taking the pill a few years ago, so I prefer products that care for it and don't attack it.
What does self-care mean to you?
Take time for yourself and have a simple routine so you can follow it as regularly as possible. But also do a physical activity that gives you pleasure (for me it's yoga ).
How do you take care of your skin?
I wash my face in the evening with water and Aleppo soap, then I rinse with a mist of floral water, because the water is very hard in Paris. Then I apply an oil when my skin is very dry or simply a night cream.
In the morning, I simply cleanse with my floral water then apply a serum and a day cream.
When I was pregnant, I used creams with SPF 50 every day and I think I'll continue, because I'm starting to see a lot of small wrinkles.
I love the sun, but I'm careful not to expose myself too much without protection.
Otherwise I try to drink as much water as possible , even if I admit that I prefer red wine!
What does a typical day look like since you became a mom?
Wow, it's a bit unstructured because everything revolves around the baby and I no longer have any time for myself. He's only a month old, so I hope our rhythm will change soon, but for the moment I enjoy long cuddles with him. I breastfeed him in the morning while drinking 3 coffees with a croissant and staying in my bed until 10 a.m. Then I take care of his care and dress him.
I shower in 30 seconds flat because he's sleepy but doesn't like it when I'm not in the same room anymore. I cover myself with oil and cream on my body and face, making sure he's calm and not crying in his crib.
At 12pm it's time for the bottle, then I get dressed like the day before and the day before that (I don't fit into anything anyway) and I go out to meet my neighbor and her 4-month-old baby for a walk and lunch in our favorite cafes (Pimpim, NordNord and Le Bellerive)
In the afternoon it's bottle feeding and cuddles on the sofa or in bed, I dream of a nap but he's wide awake!
8 p.m. my husband comes home and makes dinner, but I admit that sometimes we have it delivered.
9:30 p.m. I go to bed to then manage the 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. bottles!
What is your workout routine?
Before my pregnancy, I did 1 to 2 hours of yoga per week with the amazing yoga teacher Pia Le Cannu at the Esprit Anahata center and at Omm Studio, I also love the classes of Alex and Benoit teachers there. Friday mornings it's Pilates with Ingrid Marchais. Tuesdays it's Hiit at Asics with the SMSB crew and the awesome coach Maxime. I meet the bombshells @hashtagbientotbonne 1 to 2 times a week at Cluster (no more effective for a summer body). And in the middle of all that swimming on the weekends with my husband. Otherwise I walk every day for 1 hour to go to and from work!
Now with Achille if I manage to do one yoga session a week it will be wonderful!
A healthy recipe to share with us?
I don't cook much, lucky for me, my husband cooks! My basic dinner: Homemade soup and homemade whole-wheat bread with cheese.
Who is your fashion/beauty icon?
I love @Ciscoandthesun, a model who lives in Bali and who I follow on Instagram. I'm also very inspired by the very Parisian style of Jeanne Damas.
How did you find out about the Payot brand?
When I was younger, I was a fan of gray paste for imperfections. My mom bought it for me, and I couldn't live without it in middle school!
What are your favorite products?
Gray paste is a must!
I apply the balm mask when I take a bath and I almost want to leave it on without rinsing because my dry skin absorbs it so much.
