She loves sports, surfing, and Ryan Gosling. Malvina has the Parisian style we love: surfer-girl blonde hair, a sharp look, and a simple but effective beauty routine.
Tell us about your beauty routine?
I finally realized that taking care of my skin was more important than makeup, so I stripped my makeup routine down to the bare minimum (mascara, lots of blush, and a hint of lipstick) to focus on my skin.
I'm a serum fanatic, and I always start with this step before applying my day cream. I add an eye cream to that, which I also apply to the bridge of my nose and around my lips.
Then, I finish with sunscreen, which I wear year-round. I recently incorporated it into my routine because I have to be careful in the sun and try not to look like a southern granny before I turn 50.
In the evening, I remove my makeup with oil only; it's what my skin prefers. And I follow up with a cleanser and night cream before going to bed.
Does it change depending on the season?
A little yes, just the galenics change in terms of hydration and in summer I double the sun protection. I always have some with me in a practical travel size.
What is your summer beauty routine?
Surf spray on the hair ... and aperitifs on the terrace.
How do you take care of your blonde skin in the sun?
I slather on sunscreen. Every day. All the time. No secrets. I also moisturize a lot, a lot. I have liters of body moisturizer in my summer suitcase.
Your tips for a surfer girl complexion and hair?
On the skin, light textures, with little coverage, very transparent to let it breathe of course but above all to see it.
For my hair, I use a gentle shampoo and moisturizers to avoid the straw-like effect at the end of summer. Before swimming, I coat my hair with oil all over.
Then air dry with a salt spray to enhance this surfer effect.
A beauty secret to reveal to us?
I don't know if it's really a beauty secret, but I swear by blush. I have several shades and I play with them to give myself a healthy glow or a contouring effect.
You and your body in summer, crazy love or complicated relationship?
Ultra complicated... for as long as I can remember. But I'm learning to be more forgiving of myself by reminding myself that the most important thing is that it allows me to do what I love and what I want.
What is your workout routine?
Lots of yoga (2 to 3 times a week on average), a little Pilates and cardio (Training at Cluster in Paris otherwise I swim a lot as soon as I'm in Brittany). Right now I'm going surfing and doing yoga for 15 days. I can't wait.
Which girls inspire you on Instagram?
I think 80% of the accounts I follow are Swedish/Danish/Dutch. I love their approach to fashion, beauty, and also sports and food.
In no particular order then: @Sabrina.Meijer, @AnnaSarlvit, @AmandaNorgaard_, @TippieMaya, or even @Aemiliafay and @ZippySeven.
