Are you seeing dark spots on and around your nose? Find out why blackheads appear on your nose, chin, and even between your eyebrows, and how to get rid of them.
What is the T-zone?
The T-zone is the central part of the face, encompassing the forehead, nose, and chin. We call this area the "T-zone" because of the shape the forehead, nose, and chin make on the face: it's called the letter "T."
This area is particularly known for its tendency to be oilier than other parts of the face, due to a higher concentration of sebum on the skin's surface. But why are blackheads so common there?
Why are blackheads located in the T-zone?
Blackheads, or open comedones, form when the dilated pores of oily skin become clogged and oxidized due to excessive production of sebum, dead cells and impurities trapped in the pores.
We said that the T-zone is conducive to the production of sebum, making it a fertile area for imperfections to develop and multiply if no treatment or rebalancing of the skin is implemented.
Acne-prone skin, more than any other skin type, is prone to unwanted blackheads.
How to remove blackheads?
Removing blackheads starts with a skincare routine tailored to oily skin. We recommend using the Pâte Grise range of products, specially designed to help eliminate imperfections. These facial products are non-comedogenic, preventing the proliferation of imperfections. They regulate excess sebum without damaging the skin.
Incorporate glycolic acid into your routine
Glycolic acid is one of the most effective ingredients for blackheads. This active ingredient, often used in anti-blemish treatments, is known for its ability to exfoliate the skin, remove dead cells from the surface of the skin, and thus promote cell renewal. Renewing your skin is essential for eliminating blemishes and regulating excess sebum.
Present in the Anti-Imperfections Clear Skin Serum, we recommend applying glycolic acid daily to combination to oily skin prone to blackheads.
Incorporate glycolic acid into your routine
One of the main actions of glycolic acid is its exfoliating power on the skin. It helps dissolve the bonds that hold dead cells to the surface of the skin, making them easier and faster to remove. Glycolic acid exfoliates gently, reducing the risk of skin sensitivity. This exfoliating action leaves skin smoother and more radiant.
Expert tip: Exfoliate your skin with a purifying facial scrub. The hemp seeds in the Purifying Exfoliating Stick gently exfoliate the skin and deeply unclog pores. Tip: Use this facial scrub twice a week to eliminate blackheads in addition to a glycolic acid skincare routine.
