Yogi, surfer but above all in love with the ocean, always with a smile on her lips and a sparkling look, Laure is a great sportswoman but also a flirtatious woman who takes care of her body and her mind.
Who are you Santa Mila?
My name is Laure, I'm 32 years old. I founded my own wellness company, "SantaMila," 3 years ago. I share my content on a website/blog, santamila.com, and on social media. I wrote a book about my ocean-based wellness method called Ocean Therapy, and I offer to experience and share this vision of wellness directly through my retreats of the same name.
Can you tell us more about Ocean Therapy?
Ocean Therapy is my vision of a way of life where we reconnect with ourselves, with nature and more particularly with the ocean and its soothing virtues which make us happier.
During the Ocean Therapy retreats, we enjoy the benefits of the sea and learn to take care of ourselves through reconnection with nature, sport (yoga, surfing, kitesurfing), nutrition, green workshops and meditation.
A good dose of salty air and good vibes to experience a magical moment by the ocean.
What are the benefits of the ocean on the body?
The ocean has many benefits for the body! The salty sea spray and sea air are rich in oxygen. We breathe much better by the ocean, and sea bathing is also very good for our bodies because it is rich in mineral salts.
On the spiritual side, the ocean also has many benefits. What I love about being in the water is that all my senses are awakened by this magical environment: the sound of the ocean is soothing, the movements of the water are mesmerizing, the colors change...
When you're in the water, swimming, surfing, or kitesurfing, you forget everything (your phone, your constraints, etc.) and enjoy the present moment. For me, it's the best active meditation!
How do you take care of your skin on a daily basis?
I wear very little makeup, I drink a lot of water and I moisturize my skin morning and evening.
I also try to eat well because skin health is essentially dependent on our diet. I regularly take evening primrose and borage oil courses.
Do you have a beauty secret?
It may seem silly, but avoiding stressful situations is the key to being happy every day. Our worst enemy is stress; we can see it very quickly on our faces.
To cope with complicated situations, I try to gain the upper hand and find solutions so as not to let stress eat away at me.
What is your beauty routine when you travel?
I try to sleep as much as possible to rest, even if it's just micro naps. Sleep is part of my beauty routine; it's when my skin regenerates. I also drink plenty of water and try to eat well by bringing my own meals and fruit.
Something that makes you feel beautiful?
In the summer, my skin is tanned, my hair gets lighter and curlier with the salty sea air, and my eye color brightens. My boyfriend often tells me that I was made to live warm and near the water, that I look like an island girl. Whereas in the winter, with my slightly tanned complexion and the gray sky, I end up with an olive-green color haha.
Your favorite mantra?
Every morning when you wake up, tell yourself that you are lucky to be alive. That your existence is precious and that you are not going to waste it.
A simple mantra that I write and reread to myself when I'm feeling down. It helps me put things into perspective and keep going.
